Kylie Lip Kit in Candy K

I finally did it, guys... And by “it” I mean I got my hands on one of the very coveted, perpetually sold out, Kylie lip kit! Can I get a woo-hoo, anyone?! Yeah! Even though Koko K, the one I really wanted, sold out again whilst in my basket, I managed to grab my second favourite of the bunch: Candy K.

Finalmente consegui, gente... Consegui o quê, perguntam-se (ou não)? Pois bem, consegui pôr as minhas patinhas nos sempre esgotados, super adorados, Kylie lip kits! Woo-hoo! Apesar da cor que eu queria mesmo, o Koko K, ter esgotado já dentro do meu carrinho, consegui comprar o meu segundo favorito: o Candy K.

Candy K is the personification of the lip colours Kylie made famous. Unsurprisingly her personal favourite, Candy is a rosy beige that pulls slightly nude on her, but that looks much darker and pigmented against my fair skin – I'm NW20 in MAC, for reference. I'd say this looks a lot like Velvet Teddy by MAC on my lips... Dupe, anyone?

O Candy K é basicamente a cor que a Kylie tornou famosa. É, sem surpresas, a sua cor favorita, e é um rosa acastanhado que parece quase nude nela, mas que em mim aparece mais escuro e muito mais pigmentado, talvez devido à minha pele clara – sou NW20 na MAC, para referência. Diria que este batom me faz lembrar muito o Velvet Teddy da MAC, já agora... Dupe?

Formula – The formula of these is absolutely amazing! Because it feels super thin and lightweight, it feels like absolutely nothing on the lips! Trust me, these are probably the most comfortable liquid lipsticks you'll ever wear.

Fórmula – A fórmula destes batons é maravilhosa! Por ser tão leve e fina, até parece que nem estamos a usar nada nos lábios! Acreditem, estes são provavelmente os batons líquidos mais confortáveis que vão encontrar por aí.

Finish – These are obviously matte, but it's a very comfortable matte. They dry down to an almost powdery finish, it's really unique.

Acabamento – Secam mate, como é óbvio, mas é um mate super confortável. O acabamento deles mais parece quase pó de bebé, super suave e diferente! Só experimentando é que entendem!

Pigmentation – Super pigmented and the colour payoff is amazing! Not streaky whatsoever and one swipe is all you need. I really wouldn't recommend swiping it more than once or dipping the wand back in again, or you'll risk it getting thicker and uncomfortable.

Pigmentação – Super pigmentados e opacos! Não deixa manchas nenhumas e só precisam de uma passagem para cobrir total e uniformemente os lábios. Aliás, não recomendaria mais do que uma passagem, porque correm o risco de que o batom fique espesso, pesado e desconfortável.

Wear Time – These last a full day if you'd like it to! Even with eating and drinking included, these only fade the smallest bit around the centre of the mouth, as per usual, but for the most part, they have amazing staying power. You need a good make up remover to get these off too, because water... Yeah, ain't happening ;).

Duração – Estes batons duram e duram e duram um dia inteiro, se quiserem! Mesmo com comida e bebida à mistura, só desvanecem um pouco no centro da boca, como é de esperar, mas de resto, duram imenso. Ah, e precisam de um bom desmaquilhante para os tirar, porque água... Nem vale a pena tentar ;).

Price – To be fair, considering you get both a lip liner and a liquid lipstick, the $29/25€ price tag isn't bad at all! Considering you'd pay almost that at MAC for a single lipstick minus the liner, it's a good price point. However, the shipping is the worse part. International shipping costs $14.95, which is about 13€ added on to the 25€ of the lip kit, making it a bit more steep. Some people also pay customs on top, which is ridiculous! Luckily I didn't have to on both my orders. Lucky bih?!

Preço – Para ser sincera, considerando que recebemos um lip liner e um batom líquido por $29/25€, não acho caro de todo! Se pensarmos que pagamos quase isso na MAC só por um batom, o preço está ótimo. O chato é mesmo o shipping, que custa $14.95/13€ para encomendas internacionais... Isso é que, acrescido ao preço do lip kit, complica as coisas. E ainda há quem tenha de pagar taxas aduaneiras por cima... Felizmente não tive de o fazer com nenhuma das minhas encomendas. Sorte ou quê?!
